About.

In music, there are only 12 notes in a scale. What makes the difference is how you play those notes and what you use them to express.

My name is Kieran Gilfeather – photographer, videographer, and musician. I have accreditations in fine art and graphic design, I’ve been shooting professionally for more than 10 years on both digital and analogue film formats, and have covered everything from business promotion, weddings, live events and music, to family, fashion, pets, and portraits.

I was raised in the country and by the sea, lived 14 years in Sydney, and now I’m calling Orange NSW home. These places have given me a reverence for nature and a curious interest in the characters and animals of the city.

In my work, I’m always trying to capture depth and honesty, and I’m dedicated to making a natural connection with my subjects. Not awkward, not forced – real images with authentic feeling. I bring a gentle consideration to my work while looking for a meaningful story that runs beneath the superficial level.

If you have a project in mind, I’d love to hear from you.

Acknowledgement of Country

Kieran Gilfeather lives on Wiradjuri Land, and Gilfeather Photo and Video operates on Wiradjuri and Gadigal land. The Traditional Custodians of these lands are the people of the Wiradjuri Nation and the Gadigal people of the Eora Nation. These lands were never ceded. We pay our respects to the Elders, past, present, and emerging, on both of these lands, for their care of country and people.
